EMPOLI – Back in the starting XI for this evening's win against Empoli, Danilo D'Ambrosio has given his assessment on the contest.
"It wasn't easy today," Danilo declared after the final whistle. "We knew that Empoli like to play at a fast tempo.
"As for the return to the top of the league, let's just keep going in this direction and take things game after game. We shouldn't be thinking about whoever's chasing us."
Commenting on the knock he suffered during the match, the Italian defender had this to say: "You give some and you take some in football, the important thing is that you don't intentionally go out to hurt people. In this case, they weren't set out to injure me."
Finally, he had a word to say on the title race. "Our objective remains the Champions League, we'll see about anything else."
