DOHA - Inter forward Stevan Jovetic spoke in an exclusive interview with Mediaset Premium about the alleged bust-up in the Inter dressing room following the Lazio defeat: "I've read so many different things and, to be honest, I was surprised because nothing at all went on. We lost a game and no one's happy when you lose but nothing happened. Plus if I did feel guilty or something had gone on, I would say so. If you ask me, it's much ado about nothing and the coach can confirm that. What matters is we as a team know that it wasn't anything and we are relaxed. The papers write stories and will continue to do so but really nothing happened. What's important is that we remain calm and show that on the pitch."
Inter will be back in action at Empoli following their stay in Qatar: "The first game back after the winter break is always the most important. They're strong at home and we'll have to put in a good performance in tomorrow's friendly to prepare well for the trip to Empoli."
Jovetic used his Instagram account to show that, despite the Christmas holidays, he kept training albeit on the beach: "We had a week off, we were given a programme and I trained. It's not good for you to sit around for a week and then come here and play."
On Inter's aims for this season and top spot: "Our target is to qualify for the Champions League. We have an excellent side and we're in the title race along with three or four other teams. That said, the main aim is still the same."
After a fast start to his Inter career was hampered slightly by injury, the Montenegrin is ready to show even more in 2016: "I feel I can always give more, particularly in terms of goals and assists. I haven't scored in a lot of games but I found the net against Udinese and I've provided a few assists. Now I feel good and I will try to do my bit for the team."
