MILAN - Christmas is an occasion to be with your loved ones, reminiscing about stories and experiences from the outgoing year.
Speaking about the Meet & Greet with the players, the afternoon at Appiano Day, the charity dinner at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, the excitement of the Walk About or the awards handed out pitchside before matches is a moment of pride for any Inter Club member.
During the last home game before the Christmas break, Marzia from Inter Club Roccaspinalveti was given the incredible opportunity of stepping out onto the pitch with other junior members and exchanging season's greetings with vice president Javier Zanetti.
Here she is to tell us all about her experience at San Siro.
What did you feel approaching the stadium?
"When you enter San Siro, especially for the first time, the emotions you feel are incredibly strong. It really is a beautiful stadium."
What does being an Inter Club member mean?
"Being an Inter Club member makes me feel part of a huge family. It allows me to share my passion for the team and all the excitement of watching a match with many other supporters. We get together and do a lot of activities. For someone who lives far away from Milan like I do, it's a special opportunity to meet the players and get involved in unique events."
What was it like to step out onto the pitch?
"It's an indescribable feeling. I was very excited: walking onto the pitch at San Siro where my beloved team plays was very emotional. I was able to see all the players up close. Meeting my idol, the Captain, was the best of all. I couldn't manage to hold my tears back and Zanetti hugged me like I was his daughter. I'll remember that moment for the rest of my life."
Who would you like to thank for this experience?
"I'd like to thank Inter Club Roccaspinalveti for this experience, as well as the club president Mirko. I'm also grateful to everyone who helped my dream come true. Thank you all and forza Inter!"
The Inter Club Coordination Centre will open again on 4 January and wishes happy holidays to members and Nerazzurri fans everywhere.
