NAPLES – Piero Ausilio felt Inter were hard done by after their defeat to Napoli at the San Paolo.
"It would have been a great game but that didn't happen because someone wanted to take the limelight," the sporting director began. "You need to show a bit of responsibility and you have to think very carefully before reducing a team to ten men in a match like this. We keep finding ourselves a man down because of little fouls or supposed fouls – I remember what happened at Palermo with Murillo too. You have to give teams the chance to play on a level playing field.
"We wouldn't have lost this match with 11 men out there. The lads should be congratulated because morally we drew the game. There have been some serious mistakes and they've been happening quite regularly against Inter. I'm sorry we lost a match we didn't deserve to lose considering the run of the game. You just feel we didn't get the chance to play it on an even footing. I counted three shots by Higuain, two goals and a superb save by Handanovic, and apart from that lots of chances for Inter, including two posts."
