All the numbers behind tonight's 2015/16 Serie A Week 13 fixture at the Stadio Meazza

MILAN – After the international break, Inter dive back into Serie A tonight with a home match against Frosinone.

With the help of our friends at Opta, we've collected together these pre-match stats for you to peruse as you wait for the 20:45 kick-off.

HEAD TO HEADS

Inter and Frosinone have never met before in the league or the Coppa Italia.

FORM

Inter have clocked up seven 1-0 wins this so far this season. Only three times in history have the Nerazzurri recorded more than seven 1-0 victories over an entire Serie A season: eight in 1986/87 and 1952/53, and nine in 1963/64.

The Nerazzurri come into the game on the back of a three-game winning streak and have kept four clean sheets in their last five league outings.

Frosinone have lost five of their six away games played in Serie A, mustering just two goals in the process (Blanchard against Juventus and Frara against Fiorentina).

In their first five matches of 2015/16, Frosinone never scored more than one goal per game. In the seven matches after that, they managed to score two or more on four occasions.

GENERAL STATS

Inter are unbeaten in their last 22 meetings with newly promoted clubs (W16, D6). Their last defeat came against Novara in February 2012.  

The last time Inter were top of the league after 12 games they went on to claim the Scudetto (2009/10).

Percentage-wise, Inter are the team that has used the most foreign players in Serie A this season (87%, or 20 out of 23). Frosinone are at the opposite end of the scale, with 75% of Italian players (18 of 24), placing them second behind only Sassuolo (87%).

Udinese are the only side with a lower shots to goals ratio (8.6%) than Frosinone (8.9%) in Serie A this term.

Inter have won all four of the matches when they have taken the lead at San Siro in 2015/16.

Inter and Frosinone are two of the three teams – together with Fiorentina – who haven't conceded a single headed goal in the current campaign.

Frosinone are, along with Juventus, the team that has conceded most goals from outside the area in Serie A this year (six).

Only Udinese and Verona (two goals each) have scored less than Frosinone (three) and Inter (four) in the first half of matches in 2015/16. Inter and Verona are the only sides yet to score inside the first 30 minutes of play.

Only Carpi (seven) have let in more goals than Frosinone (six) in the first half an hour of matches this season.

Inter, joint with Sassuolo, have the best defensive record in the second half of games in 2015/16 – just four conceded all season.

Frosinone have the lowest pass completion rate of all Serie A clubs this term: 71% of 3846 passes.

No team has allowed opponents more shots than Frosinone this season (252); Inter have afforded opposing teams over 100 shots less (150).

PLAYERS

Samir Handanovic is currently enjoying his highest-ever save percentage in Serie A, keeping out 86.3% of shots.

Mauro Icardi has scored a goal for every 72 balls touched this season. In the two previous seasons he averaged a goal every 46 touches.

Icardi is the player who has made the most appearances (42) and scored the most goals (19) since Roberto Mancini returned to the last in November 2014.

Icardi's next league game will see him hit the 100 mark in Serie A. He has 44 goals to his name thus far: 34 for Inter and 10 with Sampdoria.

After starting the season with three goals in his first two matches, Stevan Jovetic has failed to score in each of his next six appearances.

Adem Ljajic hasn't found the net in his last 19 Serie A outings. He is now just two games away from equalling his longest run without scoring in the Italian top flight: while at Fiorentina he went 21 games without getting on the scoresheet between January 2011 and April 2012.

Rodrigo Palacio hasn't scored in his last 10 Serie A game. The Argentine hasn't gone so long without scoring since the start of last season, when he notched his first goal in Week 16 against Lazio.

Since Mancini rejoined the club, Gary Medel is the outfield player who has clocked up the most minutes: 3043 over 35 appearances.

Geoffrey Kondogbia's goal against Torino was his 11th shot this term (excluding blocked efforts): the Frenchman has never scored more than one league goal in a single season.

Inter are unbeaten in six games (W4, D2) and have conceded just two goals when Miranda and Murillo have played together.

Samuele Longo made his Serie A debut in an Inter shirt in May 2012 (against Lazio). That was his only top-flight appearance for the Nerazzurri.

Leonardo Blanchard is the player who has blocked the most shots (17) in Serie A 2015/16. He is also the Frosinone player to have played the most passes and already has two goals to his name this season.

Modibo Diakité's strike against Genoa was Frosinone's first 'foreign' goal in Serie A.

Daniel Ciofani is the player picked most often by Roberto Stellone in the last two seasons. He featured 41 times in Serie B last term and 11 times so far this year. The striker has missed just two games of Frosinone's last 54 league fixtures.

Danilo Soddimo has created the most chances (15), put in the most crosses (48) and made the most successful dribbles (19) for Frosinone this season.

Inter's five goals at San Siro this season have been scored by five different players: Jovetic, Guarín, Felipe Melo, Icardi e Medel.

Frosinone's last seven Serie A goals have also been scored by seven different players.

COACHES

Roberto Mancini and Roberto Stellone have never faced off as coaches.

REFEREE AND DISCIPLINE

Marco Guida is set to officiate his 80th Serie A encounter this evening, his sixth this season.

The Nerazzurri have never lost a league match with Guida in charge: they have five wins and four draws from nine games.

Guida has overseen six Serie A fixtures at San Siro with Inter with four victories and two defeats for the hosts. The last was Inter 0-0 Chievo.

Guida has never refereed Frosinone in Serie B but has officiated them once this season: a 2-0 win over Empoli.

Guida has awarded 20 penalties in Serie A: five to the home teams and 15 to the away sides.
