MICHAEL GANDLER AND FRANCESCO TOLDO: "THE DERBY’S ALWAYS SPECIAL"

The Chief Revenue Officer and Inter Forever director were in attendance at the presentation of the 24th Luigi Berlusconi Trophy at Expo 2015

RHO – As plans for the 24th Luigi Berlusconi Trophy were officially unveiled at Expo 2015 this morning, Inter Chief Revenue Officer Michael Gandler and Inter Forever director Francesco Toldo were on hand to give their reaction to the news that Inter and AC Milan are to come together to mark the end of the Universal Exposition.

During the event, Michael Gandler underlined the club’s links to Expo and called on all Milanese fans to support the match: "This is a unique way to celebrate the end of Expo 2015, which has made this such a special year for the city. It’s a great experience for us to be able to participate after so many years and a fantastic opportunity for both clubs as we move into a new phase of our existence. Now, visitors to Expo can get a further taste of Milanese traditions by taking in the derby for a special price. Our hope is to involve everybody: visitors, residents of Milan and of course our fans."

Francesco Toldo also spoke to the press, emphasising the significance of the Milan derby, no matter what the context of the match: "The derby is a very important game. This one’s going to be a friendly but the result always matters. San Siro will be a great setting because the Inter fans are so passionate. The sheer number of visitors to Expo shows that Milan is one of the leading cities in the world."
