RHO – Inter legends Francesco Toldo and Giuseppe Bergomi have become the latest Nerazzurri figures to embark on a multi-sensory trip through the culture, flavours and natural landscape of Indonesia with a visit to the country’s pavilion at Expo 2015.
The two former players were given a warm welcome at the pavilion, where they had the chance to taste some Indonesian specialities, take a virtual tour of Indonesia’s marvellous coral reefs via the Oculus, admire the array of local masks on display at the pavilion and even try on traditional Indonesian headgear known as the caping.
"The Oculus is a wonderful experience and it’s great to soak up the aroma of the spices here inside the pavilion. A visit here really does awaken all the senses!" declared former Inter defender Giuseppe Bergomi.
Inter Forever director Francesco Toldo was similarly taken with the experience: "It’s lovely to come here to Expo and get a first-hand taste of the diverse nature of each country. Indonesia has to be a beautiful place and the pavilion manages to completely immerse you in its culture."
