MILAN – Inter stars Fredy Guarin, Jeison Murillo, Gary Medel and João Miranda were all in action last night as their respective national teams got down to the business of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Guarin and Murillo were involved as Colombia beat Peru 1-0 thanks to a Teo Gutierrez goal in the 36th minute. Guarin, who captained his country, played 63 minutes of the match, while Murillo stayed out there for the full 90.
It was Medel versus Miranda in Chile as La Roja beat Brazil 2-0 courtesy of goals from Edu Vargas (72) and Alexis Sanchez (89). Both Nerazzurri men played the whole match.
