JUAN JESUS: "WORK HARD TO HIT TARGETS"

The Brazilian defender was speaking to InterNos: "We've started well, now it's in our hands. It would be nice to score against Juventus"

MILAN – Nerazzurri defender Juan Jesus spoke about his arrival at the club and his expectations for the future during an interview with InterNos, which goes out on Inter Channel tonight.

"When the transfer window closed, I was over the moon. There were options over the summer, but it wasn't time to leave and I knew I could achieve something with Inter. I want to win with this team and I have a long time to run on my contract. I would never sign for Juventus. They are a great club, but I couldn't do that to Inter after spending so much time here."

Inter are close to the top of the league at the beginning of the season. "Can we get back into the Champions League? We've started well and we should be thinking about that. We need to work hard and make sacrifices if we want to achieve this aim, but it's in our hands now."

A lot of Brazilians arrived at the club during the transfer window. "The guys who have come – Miranda, Alex Telles and Felipe Melo – will help the team out enormously. Felipe Melo is such a character and it's great to have him in the dressing room and out on the pitch."

The full interview with Juan Jesus will be broadcast this evening at 21:00 CEST on Inter Channel, as part of the InterNos programme.
