MILAN – The Inter Academy China internship scheme, which has seen 12 coaches from Yitao F.C. spend an extended period of time with the Nerazzurri, has reached its climax with the guests visiting the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti to meet the first-team squad and receive their diplomas.

During the internship, the guests have had the chance to get to know the ins and outs of the Inter youth academy via lectures and practical sessions involving the academy’s competitive sides, their pre-competitive sector and the Football Schools.

Presenting the diplomas were youth academy director Roberto Samaden and Inter Academy technical director Marco Monti, bringing to a close the first instalment in the five-year partnership scheme.

Yitao F.C. has identified F.C. Internazionale as the ideal partner to shape a project aimed at establishing football in primary and secondary schools, an objective promoted by the Chinese government.

At this moment in time, Yitao F.C. directly controls training activities in around 60 schools in the Shanghai district and expects this number to rise to over 100 by the end of 2016. This will then lead to the establishment of specialisation centres designed to create an Elite Academy in the mould of the F.C. Internazionale youth academy.

This development and expansion process will be directly controlled by the management and coaches of Inter Academy, who will be a constant on-the-ground presence as they monitor the activities and identify the strategies best suited to the local area and partners.

In fact, in two weeks’ time coordinator Aldo Montinaro and coaches Kevin Cauet and Matto Torresi will head to Shanghai to get the ball rolling in Yitao F.C.’s Pudong headquarters.
