MILAN – There will be time later on for more detailed analysis on and off the pitch. Nevertheless, right now we owe the Inter fanbase some serious gratitude for the boundless passion they manage to show at every opportunity.
The five games Roberto Mancini's men have played so far this season have propelled Inter to the top of the league, but they've also been important in setting out the right path to follow for a successful future.
So a big thank you goes out to every Nerazzurri supporter who has chosen to buy a season ticket for 2015/16 and be there for every moment at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Ticket sales have increased 20% compared to last year and proceeds in the hospitality suite have also risen by 10%. The Milan Derby saw record profits and the stadium looks to be sold out yet again for the upcoming Inter v Juventus encounter on 18 October.
There's been success on the digital front as well, with 1,500,000 interactions on Inter's official Facebook page over the last week. In particular, the photo of the team's post-match celebrations hit a record number of likes and shares in only one night.
All our social media platforms are becoming increasingly popular, keeping up a growth rate that at the end of last season was more than double the previous campaign. Our aim is to try and keep you all interested by releasing top-quality content every day to show our gratitude for the faith you keep on showing in us.
A note of thanks should go to all the Interisti who live abroad too. Despite the distances, these fans never fail to make their enthusiasm heard and our efforts will be reinforced with these supporters in mind as well. The agreements we've struck with television companies in China and Indonesia will not only help the club to develop potential new commercial partners, but it will also bring the Nerazzurri colours into the houses of all our fans worldwide.
Inter's future starts right here and that's why offices have been recently opened in Jakarta and Washington DC. Football nowadays is a global game and matches can be enjoyed everywhere: in stadiums, bars and living rooms at any hour, day or night. You can play on pitches in every corner of the globe or win championships from your own homes on games consoles.
The new Inter shirt has gone back to tradition and the response we're seeing all across the board shows how well it's being received, especially on the back of Mauro Icardi's appearance on the cover of FIFA 2016 – one of the leading products in the video games market.
We told you before that nothing beats being there. Thank you for believing us, now let's forge ahead together.
