MILAN – Roberto Mancini’s Inter side made it five wins from five with defeat of Hellas Verona tonight, and Nerazzurri president Erick Thohir was at San Siro to witness it. After the game, Thohir spoke to Inter Channel to give his reaction to the victory.
"Obviously winning five in a row is incredible, but we have another 30 games to play and we need to focus on winning them one by one. It’s important that the team stays concentrated now and keeps its feet on the ground. We need to keep focused, work hard to play as a team and keep winning one game at a time," began Thohir.
The president then looked back on Inter’s early-season form in general: "The last five games have seen a lot of hustle – they’ve fought in every inch of the pitch. All of the players have got involved and they have all made the difference. I think that’s really important. Over the last few games Felipe Melo, Icardi, Guarin and Jovetic have all scored. It’s important that every player makes a contribution to the team, because when we play as a team I really believe we can do well. We need to work hard in every game. Everyone is looking at Inter this season and we have to show them that we are Inter."
