MILAN – It was celebration time for the PUPI Foundation this evening as it marked 14 years of activity with a special event in Milan. Nerazzurri vice president Javier Zanetti took a break from proceedings to speak to journalists about Inter’s early-season form: "It’s much easier to improve when you’re winning. Palacio? Who wouldn’t want him? He’s a fantastic player and showed that yesterday by coming on and looking dangerous."
Asked if the current team reminded him of Hector Cuper’s Nerazzurri side, which strung four wins together in similar fashion, Zanetti replied: "We have a very solid team and we’re showing that. Solidity is fundamental in Serie A and we hope to maintain it going forward. I’ve been really impressed with Miranda – I had watched him at Atletico but since he arrived I’ve been struck by his experience and sureness, which is rubbing off on his team-mates. I knew Felipe Melo well and the whole side is performing impressively. As I said, it’s easier to improve when you’re winning."
