VECCHI: "TOUGH GAME, WE'RE IMPROVING"

Primavera boss to Inter Channel after 1-1 draw with Atalanta: "Good game against one of the best teams in our group. We're working to find the right solutions"

SESTO SAN GIOVANNI – Stefano Vecchi was happy with how Inter U19s fared in this afternoon's 1-1 draw with Atalanta, a week after they obtained an identical result against Chievo.

"Today was tougher than last week," the Primavera boss observed. "We played well against one of the best teams in our group and I'm happy with the team's performance.

"We tried really hard but sadly we couldn't get the goals to repay all our efforts," Vecchi told Inter Channel after Andrew Gravillon's first-half header ensured the Nerazzurri shared the spoils with Atalanta at the Stado Breda today.

"We're working well and we're improving. We just needed a bit more of a spark in the final third. We have to learn to play to the strengths of our attacking players, which are different to the ones we had here last year. We need to work on our understanding in midfield and attack but I think we already look good at the back."

Where can the team improve over the next few games? "We need to create more chances so that we can finish off moves. It's up to me and the lads to find the right solutions to get them performing at their best."
