GUARIN AND MURILLO VISIT EXPO

Jeison Murillo and Fredy Guarin visited the Colombia and Indonesia Pavilions at Expo 2015 this afternoon

RHO – Inter’s two Colombian stars, Jeison Murillo and Fredy Guarin, spent the afternoon at Expo 2015 today, visiting the Colombia and Indonesia Pavilions.

Guarin, who scored a memorable winning goal in last Sunday’s derby win over AC Milan, spoke to some of the journalists present, starting with the derby: "Let’s hope the goal does go down in history because that would mean that we’ll have had an important season. Scoring in and winning the derby is a great feeling."

The victory over AC Milan is already in the past, however, with Guarin keen to look ahead to this weekend’s trip to Chievo: "We need to show responsibility and maturity on Sunday. Everything has changed and that’s down to Mancini. We have to be at 100% and prove what we can do in every match."

Guarin also spoke about his compatriot and new-found domestic team-mate Jeison Murillo: "I know Jeison well and I knew he was going to do well here. He’s very strong tactically and technically and has a great mentality. I’m not surprised he’s performing so well."

Last but not least, the conversation turned to Expo itself, which Guarin was visiting for the first time: "It’s really exciting and I want to thank president Thohir for this invitation. I hope to go to Indonesia one day – I’d love to visit. I haven’t tasted much of the food because I’ll try it when I’m actually there. And as sportsman I need to have a stricter diet, but nothing too special!"
