MODENA – "It was important to win. We suffered from tiredness in the second half and they caused us a few problems, but we fought until the last second and managed to get the penalty after a good move," declared Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin after captaining the side to a 1-2 defeat of Carpi.
"It was vital to get the three points. Now we have the international break and then we’re straight into the derby, so we’re already focusing on AC Milan.
"I’m used to transfer talk. The most important thing is the opinion of the club and the manager and I know they’re counting on me. I’m happy to stay at Inter and the captain’s armband adds that extra bit of motivation," concluded Guarin.
