MILAN – Inter head to Modena today looking to build on last week's win over Atalanta with another victory against Serie A new boys Carpi.
Together with Opta, we've put together this collection of facts and figures regarding the Nerazzurri's 2015/16 Serie A Week 2 match.
HEAD-TO-HEADS
This is the first competitive fixture between Carpi and Inter.
Inter and Carpi recently met in a summer friendly, the Nerazzurri running out 4-2 winners. Palacio, Icardi, Hernanes and Longo were on target for Inter while Matos and Lasagna found the net for Carpi.
CLEAN START
In the last two seasons, the Nerazzurri have kept consecutive clean sheets in their first two Serie A matches.
FORM BOOK
Inter have scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight away games in the league (W5, D1, L2), firing a blank only against Sampdoria in Marassi back in March.
Carpi drew their last three home games 0-0 in Serie B in 2014/15 and didn't concede in their last five games.
Only Vicenza in 1942 and Udinese in 1950 let in more goals than Carpi on their Serie A bow (both were hit for six).
GENERAL STATS
Inter enjoyed 68.3% possession against Atalanta, the highest of all teams on the opening day of Serie A 2015/16.
Carpi had eight shots on target in their Week 1 match – only Lazio managed more.
Including blocked efforts, Carpi (25) and Inter (21) were second and third respectively for total shots on the opening-day weekend, after Torino (26).
Carpi conceded three times in the last 15 minutes of the first half against Sampdoria. No Serie A side let in more over the entire 90 minutes last week.
Only Juventus (43) and Torino (35) put in more crosses than Carpi (32) and Inter (29) in Week 1 (including corners).
Inter completed 160 passes in the final third, a league high in Week 1. Inter attempted 596 total passes (also a league high) with an 88.6% success rate, the highest among all Serie A sides.
Inter ranked third for aerial duels (39) in 2015/16 Serie A Week 1.

Brazilian centre-back Miranda, another man making his Serie A bow, was the outfield player who recovered the most balls (14) in Week 1.
Stevan Jovetic is the first Montenegrin to score for Inter. Since 1994/95, 30 different nationalities have found the net for the Nerazzurri in Serie A. Jovetic's strike was the latest goal (92:38) in the first round of league matches. The Inter forward was one of three substitutes who got their names on the score sheet in Week 1.
Rodrigo Palacio will claim his 29th Serie A scalp if he finds the net against Carpi. The only side he has failed to score against is Brescia (no goals in two matches).
Raphael Martinho's last Serie A goal came against none other than Inter in October 2013. He has since played a further 14 times in the top flight without scoring. Martinho could make his 50th Serie A appearance today: he has previously turned out 20 times for Verona, 18 for Cesena and 11 for Catania.
Gabriel Silva broke his Serie A duck against the Nerazzurri while playing for Udinese in May 2013.

Only Stefan De Vrij (98%) has a higher pass completion rate than Davide Santon (97.3%) among players who have attempted at least 15 passes this term.
Filippo Porcari made 39 passes in the last game (the most for Carpi), 34 fewer than the number played by Medel in the opposition's half alone.

COACHES
This will be the first league meeting between Roberto Mancini and Fabrizio Castori.
REFEREE AND DISCIPLINE
Carpi had three players booked in Serie A Week 1; only Sassuolo had more (four).
Davide Massa will be overseeing his 57th Serie A match today, his first this season.
Inter have had Massa as referee seven times in league encounters before today. They won four of those matches, drew one and lost two.
The last time Massa officiated a match involving the Nerazzurri was on 10 May 2015: Lazio 1-2 Inter. The hosts had two players sent off that day and Inter were awarded a penalty.
