MANAJ: "SAN SIRO WAS INCREDIBLE"

"I’m young but am learning all the time and need to train hard. The result is the most important thing, that’s all that counts at the moment," declared the Inter forward

MILAN Rej Manaj spoke to Inter Channel after the Nerazzurri’s thrilling 1-0 win over Atalanta at San Siro this evening: "I’m pleased to get a first home win under our belts. Now the only thing for us to do is focus on Carpi.

"We’re lacking nothing – we’re a strong side. I don’t know what part I’m going to play and there are many great players ahead of me, but I’m ready. I was really excited, it’s not easy to make your debut in front of 30,000 people but I’m very pleased. Of course, I want to play more and more. I’m a young player but am learning all the time and need to keep training hard. The result is the most important thing, that’s all that counts at the start of the season," declared the youngster.

"It was an incredible feeling to see that last-minute goal go in. There were loads of positives tonight but we’re only just beginning, I’m sure we’ll go far. We now need to focus on Carpi next week. I could have performed better, but we’ll see next time. It’s a shame for Icardi as he’s a mate, so I’m more gutted for him than happy to get on," said Manaj.
