ALESSANDRO ANTONELLO CFO, TIM WILLIAMS DEPUTY. MICHAEL WILLIAMSON CORPORATE DIRECTOR

Finance experts from the sports industry join the Nerazzurri

MILAN - FC Internazionale is pleased to announce that Alessandro Antonello will join the Club as the new Chief Financial Officer. The addition will see the 20-year veteran in finance and control overseeing the Club’s day-to-day administrative activities from September and allows for former Chief Financial Officer Michael Williamson to assist the club in corporate development and strategic projects.

“The addition of Alessandro to the senior Management Team further strengthens the financial side of the Club,” said CEO Michael Bolingbroke. “His knowledge and expertise from years in senior positions at world-class companies will now be applied to Inter and will provide our financial department with the ability to continue to grow.”

Antonello previously held managerial roles in Puma Italia, the Italian division of PUMA SE, and in Branded Apparel Italia, a company formerly owned by American private equity firm Sun Capital Partners and now part of Hanesbrands Inc. Prior to this, he spent significant time in the Intimate Apparel division of the American multinational company Sara Lee. He began his professional career at Deloitte & Touche after qualifying as a chartered accountant.

“I’m delighted to be joining the FC Internazionale team and embarking on this new adventure which is sure to be very rewarding professionally,” declared Antonello. “I am looking forward to using my experience and the professional skills I've developed in industries that have many elements in common with the world of football. It will be an honour to share this experience with an internationally renowned team.”

Over the course of his career in multinational companies, Antonello has worked on innumerable strategic projects in both financial and operational fields, supporting the management team in the pursuit of economic and financial objectives while paying particular attention to the optimisation of working capital and cash flow.

Also joining the finance department as of July is Tim Williams to serve in the role of Deputy CFO. Williams brings with him extensive experience and knowledge in the football industry gained while employed at Manchester United, Ernst & Young, and KPMG.

Current CFO Michael Williamson, having overseen the restructuring of the finance area of the Club, will continue to oversee the Club's corporate activities and investor relations. He will also take on strategic projects for the club and its majority shareholder.
