MILAN – "I’m really happy and honoured to be here, it reminds me of when I was young and had just begun to pursue my dreams," declared Javier Zanetti as he met with 30 young players and four coaches from Inter Academy Saudi Arabia today.
The Nerazzurri vice president, who was accompanied by Inter Academy technical director Marco Monti and Inter Academy technical coordinator and organizational director Aldo Montinaro, was welcoming the group to the club ahead of a ten-day internship with the FC Internazionale youth academy.
The internship is one of the many activities organised by Inter Academy and includes a period of training and specialisation in Milan for selected athletes from our Elite Academies. Over the coming days, as well as spending time with their Nerazzurri peers, they will have the chance to visit the stadium and first-team training base in what promises to be a unique experience of integration with the Inter family.
The Saudi youngsters, who are being looked after by Inter Academy instructors Valerio Candido and Andrea Ratti, will meet our friends from ASD Calvairate – one of Inter’s network of affiliated clubs – at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti this afternoon.
