MILAN - Roberto Mancini took stock after Inter dropped two points at home to Parma.
"As the coach I have to take responsibility for this situation we're in and I'm sorry about it. With 30 points still to play for I hoped we'd be able to pick things up, even though the results haven't been going our way recently.
"We started well today but then Parma got an equaliser and in the second half I don't think we showed the right attitude. We weren't nasty enough. We knew we had everything to lose - we've been saying that to ourselves all week. It's hard to win if you concede every game.
"Sadly this is not a good year for us and I'm sorry that instead of getting better the situation's actually got worse. The lads need to get their heads down and keep working. We'll train tomorrow. But we need to change things completely if we want to win."
