FELIPE: "A GOOD WEEK'S WORK. THEY'RE ALL FINALS NOW"

Defender tells Inter Channel: "We can secure a European berth. Decent runout at left-back in the friendly today, it helps me get back up to match speed"

APPIANO GENTILE - After taking part in this morning's friendly match, Felipe stopped to chat to Inter Channel about his fitness and Inter's next game against Parma - a club he knows well.

"It had been a while since I last played on a full-size pitch like that and I needed it to get back up to match speed. It was good that I played at left-back too because it meant I had to run more!

"We've had a good week's work but they're all finals now because our target is to get back into Europe."

Inter's next competitive fixture is next Saturday against Parma, the side Felipe left at the end of the January transfer window. "They've shown they still have plenty of hunger," the Brazilian defender continued. "I know them personally and I know they'll come here looking to take the game to us. They'll be doing everything possible to leave here with some points in the bag.

"My family and I were very happy there. I really enjoyed my time at the club and I can't wait to see my old team-mates again."

Finally the 30-year-old commented on what it would feel like if he got the nod to play at the Stadio Meazza: "San Siro is an amazing ground to play at. It would be incredible if I got the chance to turn out there with Inter. I'm training to make sure I'm ready."
