Last time Inter trailed 3-1 from first leg? They won the European Cup
This is the second time Inter have had to overturn a 3-1 away-leg defeat in a European competition and the last time they were faced with such a task they managed to pull it off. It was the 1964/65 European Cup semi-finals and the Nerazzurri had lost 3-1 at Liverpool in the first leg. They went on to stage a magnificent comeback in Milan as goals by Corso, Peirò and Facchetti (3-0) sent them into the final. They went on to lift the trophy that year, beating Benfica 1-0 in the Milan final on 27 May 1965.

Wolfsburg on target in nine of their last ten European trips
The Germans have failed to score just once in their last ten away matches in Europe. That happened on 26 February against Sporting in Lisbon (0-0). In their other nine matches in that period they have notched 17 goals on the road.
English ref Clattenburg in charge
Mark Clattenburg, 40, is the man in charge tonight. An international referee since 2006, this is his first time overseeing a game involving Inter but he has refereed Italian sides on six previous occasions, with two Italian wins, two draws and two defeats. He's also making his debut with Wolfsburg, while German sides have a good record with him: four wins, one draw and two defeats.
