DJORKAEFF: "I STILL LOVE INTER"

The former Nerazzurri No. 6 spoke to Inter Channel during today’s Radio Inter programme

MILANYouri Djorkaeff spoke to Inter Channel during the Radio Inter programme today, as the show’s hosts called him to mark his 47th birthday: "I’d like to say happy birthday back to Inter and all the fans. It’s a special day today. I still feel an incredible amount of love for the club – that’ll never go away.

"I’ll always remember the bond I had with the Inter fans. Being a part of the Nerazzurri history is a true honour – I was able to achieve big things with the club," recalled the Frenchman.

One of Djorkaeff’s most memorable moments was that acrobatic strike against Roma on 5 January 1997: "It’s nice to know it’s gone down in the history of the club. There’s no doubt that it’s one of the best goals I ever scored, alongside the one against Juventus from a Ronaldo assist."

There was also a word for Inter Forever: "It’s a wonderful project for the club and for all the ex-players, who continue to write the Inter name up in lights around the world. It was incredible to see how much enthusiasm there was in China for the Nerazzurri."
