MILAN – Youri Djorkaeff spoke to Inter Channel during the Radio Inter programme today, as the show’s hosts called him to mark his 47th birthday: "I’d like to say happy birthday back to Inter and all the fans. It’s a special day today. I still feel an incredible amount of love for the club – that’ll never go away.
"I’ll always remember the bond I had with the Inter fans. Being a part of the Nerazzurri history is a true honour – I was able to achieve big things with the club," recalled the Frenchman.
One of Djorkaeff’s most memorable moments was that acrobatic strike against Roma on 5 January 1997: "It’s nice to know it’s gone down in the history of the club. There’s no doubt that it’s one of the best goals I ever scored, alongside the one against Juventus from a Ronaldo assist."
There was also a word for Inter Forever: "It’s a wonderful project for the club and for all the ex-players, who continue to write the Inter name up in lights around the world. It was incredible to see how much enthusiasm there was in China for the Nerazzurri."
