SESTO SAN GIOVANNI – Inter Primavera coach Stefano Vecchi spoke to Inter Channel after watching his side beat cross-town rivals AC Milan 2-1 this lunchtime: "We put in a great performance. We’ve continued the momentum of the Viareggio Cup, beating Cittadella away and now Milan here. This is a great group and despite our absentees we deserved the three points today.
"We played excellently. The team put in a great first half and when we fell behind we did very well to get ourselves back on the right track almost immediately. We looked a bit tired after the break, but we controlled the game well and created the chances to make it 2-1.
"Now we’ll look to recover ahead of our next match, against the champions Chievo. We’ll do our best to win and ensure our spot in the Final Eight," declared Vecchi.
