RANOCCHIA: "TOUGH TO LOSE LIKE THAT"

The Nerazzurri captain spoke to Sky Sport Italia after his side slipped to defeat against Torino

MILAN – Shortly after the final whistle, Andrea Ranocchia gave his take on Inter’s 0-1 defeat to Torino: "You don’t always manage to win these games, but losing to a last-minute goal from a corner is really hard to take.

"The coach has tried to pick us up – we need to do better against teams that defend against us. We need to keep working as we are. It’s not a physical issue, we just had barely any space and couldn’t find a way through in the final third. We all went to sleep for the goal, unfortunately. It’s tough to lose like that.

"We’re all really fired up now. A defeat like this can do us good and inspire us all to give something extra. We need to focus on picking up points – anything can happen in football and we can take some points off the teams ahead of us when we meet head to head. We’ll see what happens with the injuries to Andreolli and D’Ambrosio," declared Ranocchia.
