MILAN – If you think about an Inter v Sampdoria clash with Mancini in the home dugout, your thoughts will inevitably stray to that match in the 2005/06 season. The comeback. Six minutes were all it took for Inter to surge back from 0-2 to 3-2. San Siro was a furnace that night, spurring the Nerazzurri on to glory. The whole stadium felt part of that team and that wonderful victory.
Inter v Sampdoria on Wednesday can be a repeat of that. Not just because, like then, the match is being played in January. Not just because Roberto Mancini is once again at the Inter helm. And not just because any evening spent at the stadium with the Nerazzurri has the potential to be an unforgettable experience, just like that match was in 2006. There is great anticipation in the air, not least to see new boys Xherdan Shaqiri and Lukas Podolski in Coppa Italia action for the first time.
That’s why Inter have decided that tickets for the first orange, green and blue tiers and second green tier will be available for just €10. Meanwhile, tickets for the first red tier will cost between €20 and €30. It promises to be a special night.
Entry is free without an assigned seat for all children up to the age of five. Moreover, the match is covered by 2014/15 season tickets and two-year season tickets bought last season.
Tickets can be purchased online at inter.it/tickets and can either by loaded onto your SiamoNoi card or downloaded as print at home e-tickets. There are also over 500 vivaticket sales points where tickets for the match can be bought. A list of the outlets can be found here: inter.it/puntivendita.
See you at San Siro, and forza Inter!
