MILAN – Danilo D’Ambrosio found time to speak to Inter Channel after coming on for the closing stages of tonight’s clash with Udinese: "For any player who loves this sport, taking part in the matches is obviously very important. I train hard every day, but a match is completely different. As I said, I wanted to come back with a positive result.
"The boss asked me which side I prefer to play on, and I said I was happy to play on either the left or the right. Whenever there’s someone missing or the coach needs a job doing, I’m available," explained D’Ambrosio.
There was a word for Federico Bonazzoli, who also made a late appearance during the Udinese match: "I’m pleased for Federico. He’s a great lad with a lot of talent, though of course he still needs to grow."
The Nerazzurri defender was keen to underline the importance of unity in this tricky time: "I think the team as a whole is more important than individuals. This is an especially tough league in a way, because evey team is clued up tactically. The most important thing is to stick together in order to get results."
