SESTO SAN GIOVANNI - Stefano Vecchi was satisfied with his young charges following their 3-0 success over Cagliari at the Stadio Breda.
After the game he told Inter Channel: "It was important for us to get back into our stride, also considering that AC Milan and Sassuolo played each other today. It was the perfect opportunity for us to make up some of the points we've dropped in recent weeks. After reaching the Coppa Italia quarter-finals in midweek, this win rounds off the week very positively for us."
The Primavera coach went on: "We made the most of our chances today, unlike on some other occasions. Getting two early goals put us in the driving seat. We ran a few risks at 3-0 but sometimes you allow the opposition a bit of space when you have a three-goal cushion. We kept pushing forward though, missing a penalty and hitting the post, so all round it was a good performance."
