INTER ACADEMY IN CALIFORNIA AND SAUDI ARABIA

New horizons beckon for Marco Monti and his team as two more projects start up in Temecula and Dammam

MILAN - Inter Academy is back in the USA. Following in the wake of the successful camp held in Florida last summer, Inter Academy technical director Marco Monti is now set to kick off a weekend-long coaching clinic in Temecula, California.

Monti will be joined by Stefano Rapetti, chief of physical and scientific contents, for the three-day course which starts on 21 November. The clinic is the result of the ongoing partnership between Nerazzurri coaching staff and Crossfire Premier Soccer Club of Seattle. Two further partners are involved in this particular project: Arsenal FC US Academy and Crossfire Oregon.

PJ Brown, Arsenal FC's VP of soccer operations, said: "This partnership offers our academy boys the chance to be seen by one of the world's biggest clubs. We're excited about implementing FC Internazionale's methods in our programmes."

Indeed, one of the primary aims of the initiative is to share techniques used at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti to train young players and younger coaches. Inter are thus taking their methods across the pond and beyond with the hope of nurturing tomorrow's talent.

Meanwhile, Aldo Montinaro (technical coordinator & organisational support) is preparing for a trip in the opposite direction. He's about to head to Dammam in Saudi Arabia, along with coaches Andrea Ratti and Valerio Candido.

The new Inter Academy in Dammam, run with the help of local partner Sporti, has already generated a huge amount of interest, as was seen during the recent media conference attended by vice president Javier Zanetti.
