MILAN - There was a special guest on Inter Channel's new programme Radio Inter today: Sandro Mazzola, an Italy legend who spent his entire career at Inter.
He began by setting the record straight regarding some statements of his that were reported out of context by the media a few days ago. "I'd like to make it clear that I think the president is carrying out what I would call 'wise' actions. The first thing you have to do in the modern game is look at the accounts if you want to be competitive and get back to winning. President Thohir has got the right strategy in my view."
Mazzola then looked back on his own time at the club: "I joined Inter when I was just 11. I only ever wore one club jersey. Inter really is my family."
Finally, the former forward commented on the team's current difficulties: "Inter fans just need to concentrate on supporting the team and getting behind the players till the very end. I think we need that real Inter passion. Sometimes it only takes something small to spark it off. A player you can count on? Kovacic. Give him the ball and he'll put it where you need it."
