"FOOTBALL DREAM" STOPS IN BEIJING

Inter and young talent in Chinese capital, warmly welcomed by local fans

BEIJING – A new city but the same formula: first the selection of young talent involved in the Chinese reality show "Football Dream", then events organised by Chinese Inter fans that wanted to send their warm greetings and show their intense passion for our colours. After starting in Hong Kong, the Nerazzurri road show has continued in the cities of Guangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou and Shanghai. And now it was Beijing’s turn.

As they did in the previous Football Dream stops, ex-Inter player Zé Maria and youth academy coach Valerio Candido evaluated the technical and tactical level of more than 100 young Chinese footballers between the ages of 14 and 16 in the Chinese capital.

After work ended on Saturday, there was an encounter with Inter Club Beijing, then photos in Tiananmen Square with Inter Club China. Next, everyone headed over to the Titan Media offices for a Nerazzurri party with entertainment such as quiz games, photos and an autograph session.

On Sunday there was another meeting with the fans after the morning filming for Football Dream. This one consisted of a game that pitted Inter fans from Beijing against those from Tianjin. The match was organised by Peking University to honour the Nerazzurri group’s visit to China.

On Monday, Zé Maria and Candido will be joined by another ex-Inter player, Massimo Paganin (who took part in the initial selections), for the final selections. The 12 youngsters chosen will travel to Milan in October for a training stint at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti.
