PHILADELPHIA – Nerazzurri spirits were high after the victory over Roma and it was clear in the post-match comments from the players.
Vidic spoke to Inter Channel after scoring his first Inter goal: "We did a great job in defence. Regarding my goal, the coach had told me to attack the near post because Dodò sends in some great balls. And that’s just how it turned out. With hard work we can still improve."
Juan Jesus gave a similar response when speaking to Sky Sport Italia: "The team is in top form and I’m very happy with the way we’ve started. We have to keep it up."
Roberto Scarpini then spoke to an enthused Yuto Nagatomo: "Yes, I’m happy for my goal. I’m also happy with the way we played. I have a good understanding with Jonathan on the right. I’m at 70% so I still have more work to do."
So there’s still more progress to be made, as vice president Javier Zanetti also stated: "We’re working in the right way. Roma are an opponent we know well and they’re a great team."
