INTER ACADEMY FLORIDA, FIRST SMILES ON TV

Enthusiasm and training in Miami with a surprise: NBC 6 News presenter Roxanne Vargas runs a feature on the scheme

MIAMI - The Inter Academy Florida adventure could only ever start one way. With kids full of enthusiasm and parents happy to have their little ones in the care of a reliable organisation. With Riccardo Ferri, who, besides teaching football across the pond, was also put through his paces by NBC 6 News presenter Roxanne Vargas. She decided to spend the afternoon with the Nerazzurri staff and the youngsters to gauge the mood at Inter Academy Florida, find out how it works and get the first thoughts of those who have decided to take part.

"It's fantastic to train here with Riccardo because he has played in Italy and at a World Cup so I can learn so much from him," the view of one child.

Play, of course. And learn. But it's also the opportunity to get spotted.

"If a kid has talent we give them an unbelievable opportunity: to come to Milan to be assessed by the heads of Inter's youth academy," says Marco Ferri. A dream that begins in Florida and that can continue in Italy. It's already creating quite a buzz, in the US media too.
