ZENGA WITH INTER FOREVER: "COACH FOR A DAY"

On 8 June, Walter Zenga will lead Inter against the legends of Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu

MILAN - Walter Zenga spoke by telephone during Radio Appiano on Inter Channel on his birthday, and although he may be far away he always feels close to the Nerazzurri. "Uomo ragno" (Spiderman) talked about the derbies he played in: "In my era AC Milan weren’t easy to face, but neither were Inter. Those were different times and teams were limited to just three foreign players. Today it’s hard to choose someone as a symbol of the team, maybe just Javier Zanetti."

It was a relaxing birthday for Zenga and he received thousands of ‘best wishes’ messages by way of inter.it and the Nerazzurri’s official social media sites: "Today I took a day off and my staff conducted the workout. Even coaches have the right to have a day off!"

On 8 June it will be a special day for all the Nerazzurri and Walter Zenga, who will be on the bench coaching Inter Forever against Real Madrid Leyendas: "With all due respect to Walter Mazzarri, my dream is to coach Inter. However, the dream will come true on 8 June when I lead the team in the game against Real Madrid. I won't be in goal though - I'm leaving that to Francesco Toldo. I’ve decided to remain a coach now and I’ll stay on the bench. One day I’ll be able to say I’ve coached Inter, at least for one day, at the Santiago Bernabeu. Even if it may not be much! At any rate: Forza Inter!"
