APPIANO GENTILE – With a bit more free time on his hands – therapy aside – since being sidelined with a knee injury, Juan Jesus took the opportunity to speak to the fans again. After last week's hugely successful #askJJ on the club's Twitter account, today he was in the Inter Channel studio to film this week's episode of InterNos, answering questions sent in by Nerazzurri supporters.
The injury is obviously a blow he would rather have done without, but the Brazilian defender is philosophical: "It happens, it comes with the job. I see it as a life experience. I'd never had an injury before, not even a minor one, but I'm relaxed about the whole thing. I'm working and having treatment to get back to my best form."
Looking back over the images of Inter's game with Bologna and the moment he was fouled by Lazaros, the centre-back said: "I hadn't seen it again yet. The other player comes over the top of me. I tried to play the ball but he comes over the top. It felt serious straight away. I wasn't crying because of the pain but because I thought I'd done my cruciate or meniscus. I tried to walk on it and then run a bit but I thought it was better not to risk anything because I could have done it completely in the next challenge, so I came off immediately. Thank God it's not a really bad injury. Will I go under the knife? No, because it's only the collateral ligament and it can sort itself out. I have to wear a brace for a month and then we'll see. I feel a bit like Robocop with this thing on. I have to keep it on 24/7, I only take it off when I have therapy or a shower."
