POPE FRANCIS AND AN EXCEPTIONAL PHOTO

Taken yesterday on Palm Sunday by Franco Origlia

ROME – Yesterday on Palm Sunday, Pope Francis opened Holy Week ahead of Easter. There was a massive crowd present for the Argentine Pontiff, who has shown himself to be so in touch with the needs of the people, and so intelligent and simple when he speaks of religion and life.

A little more than one year ago when the announcement was made of his appointment, the Nerazzurri’s Argentine captain Javier Zanetti spoke here on inter.it of the emotions he felt upon hearing the Pope speak to his audience in San Pietro. Yesterday Zanetti once again made the news, thanks to this photo taken by Franco Origlia (author of the book "Inter Campus, sport, passione, impegno", published by Skira), showing someone in the crowd, quite possibly an Argentine, thrilled to show the captain’s shirt to the Pope.

We would like to present the image to you, as we take advantage of the occasion to wish all Nerazzurri fans a Happy Easter.
