MILAN – We loved the image submitted by @francyinter97 since it pictures the Piazza del Duomo in Milan, where all through the night we celebrated league titles and the Champions League trophy. And in our editor’s opinion, the black and white with the Nerazzurri flag unfurled makes for a picture that is clean, exact and symbolic.
However, there were many more pictures that arrived on Instagram. In order to submit them, all you have to do is tag them with @fcinterofficial and you’re done. We weren’t happy with choosing only one, so we decided to make a top ten. Here are the winners, which you can also see in the gallery. @ivan93zazze centred Mauro Icardi with the San Siro behind him. A great choice.
@Guerreroanam, a Spanish speaker – at least we can make that out from the pages of a school notebook – has a Nerazzurri heart, while @dariocara sleeps in blue and black. Then there were collage enthusiasts: @ely_saturnino gathered together the most recent images, including president Thohir, without forgetting the Champions League and Massimo Moratti; @98_giro_18 is clearly a Javier Zanetti fan; @mikizer gave his the title of ‘Inter, history without end’, and included Ronaldo, Milito, Sneijder, Bergomi, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic and Zanetti; and @clodi313, with the title ‘Infinite Love’, gathered (obviously with infinite patience) numerous black and white pictures from Nerazzurri history while leaving one from the Madrid final in colour.
Two special mentions: the first goes out to @alba92inter for ‘Unforgettable moments’, in which we see the players leaving the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti; the second goes to @hellovando for his breath-taking photo of the scarf held aloft with a misty mountain backdrop.
It was great fun and difficult to choose, so thanks to everyone. The next contest will be held at the same time next Monday.
