LIVORNO - As we await this evening’s Serie A match, which kicks off at 21:00, we present you with some interesting statistics from Football Data regarding Livorno v Inter.

Mazzarri, and Di Carlo’s dismissal
One of Domenico Di Carlo’s three firings in his career came at the hands of Walter Mazzarri. It took place when Di Carlo was guiding Parma in the 2007/08 Serie A season. The Crociati lost at home 1-2 to Mazzarri’s Sampdoria on 9 March 2008, and the following day Di Carlo received his marching orders.

Livorno, without a clean sheet for 19 straight matches
Livorno have let in at least one goal in their last 19 competitive matches. The last shutout for the Amaranto was a 1-0 home victory against Atalanta on 3 November 2013.

Penalties: Livorno punished and Inter still waiting
There are two different stories regarding penalties in this evening’s match at the Stadio Picchi. Livorno have had 7 given against them; more than any other team this season except for Genoa and Parma (also with 7 against). Meanwhile, Inter remain the only team this season that has yet to receive a penalty in their favour. The last one whistled for the Nerazzurri came on 8 May 2013, subsequently missed by Alvarez, in Inter 1-3 Lazio. Since then 32 league matches have passed.

Inter: league’s 2nd worst attack in 2014
Since the beginning of 2014, Inter have shown the Serie A’s second most anaemic attack: 10 goals scored in 13 matches (level with Cagliari). Only Bologna have been more toothless, with 7 goals scored.

Inter: clean sheet away from home for 224 minutes
Inter have not let in a goal away from home for the last 224 minutes. The last away goal against the Nerazzurri came from Cuadrado on 46 minutes in Fiorentina 1-2 Inter on 15 February. To the remaining 44 minutes of that match we can also add the entire games against Roma (0-0) and Hellas Verona (2-0).

A decisive Palacio
With his goal that earned the win against Verona on 15 March, Rodrigo Palacio confirmed himself as the most decisive player of the season, along with Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. Both players have brought 19 points to their respective sides with game-winning goals.
