MILAN - "Very unlucky, the team played well in the second half, we were a little jaded in the first period but definitely deserved to win the game." This is what FC Internazionale honorary president Massimo Moratti had to say this morning outside the Saras offices.
"32 games without a penalty. It's laughable. We smile when we talk about it now, because you know it happens every Sunday, and they'll never give us a penalty.
"Are we angry? No, because anger... the same thing happened last year, from the Juve game until the end of the season, plus it's happened in the past too. It happens to everyone but here with unusual frequency. I believe the referees are afraid of giving us a first penalty after such a long time, this is something which holds them back, because it needs to be a stonewall penalty, otherwise it's a problem.
"I think the players go out there and want to do well, Mazzarri gets them up for it, but sometimes there are matches in which you just can't get going. Guidolin is a good coach and yesterday he set up his team to put the brakes on our play. I don't think it comes down to desire or laziness, everything works a lot better if you score a goal, we know that. I think Mazzarri's good.
"What does Thohir mean when he says 'we'll review everything'? I don't know, you'll have to ask him, not me.
"I don't miss my old job. When you make a decision like that there's no place for nostalgia, I trust the people in charge.
"A worrying run of form? Perhaps. We've spoken a great deal about the reasons behind it, let's hope it's just those that have slowed us down.
"Torres and Dzeko? They excite me, as they excite you, just as they do a fan in the Curva. Everyone has their preferences but I don't know what the club will do.
