SAMUEL: "DESERVED WIN"

"Keep winning, end of. We'll go to Florence to do that. No promises, we can't get people's hopes up. Need to be realistic, one game at a time"

MILAN - "We deserved to win, we created a lot but we were a bit unlucky in front of goal. I, though, had the fortune of scoring. Shame I got cramp, but I hadn't played in a while." This is what Walter Samuel said straight after the final whistle, as he spoke to Sky Sport Italia.

"Now we just need to win, end of. We'll go to Florence to do just that. Targets? We won't make any promises, it's not fair to get people's hopes up. We have to be realistic and take things one game at a time.

"Rumours of a move to Fiorentina? I'm very happy here, this might be my last year with the Nerazzurri, but as long as I'm here I'll give everything to achieve more success with my team-mates."

"It was important to win again, we hadn't done so in 2014 and we needed to get some points on the board. As a squad we're up for this, you can see that, we're playing some good stuff, then there are lots of matches where we deserve neither to lose nor draw. The Genoa game for example...

"My knee? I feel a bit of pain every now and then, but you don't think about in a game. How did I get up so well for the goal? Perhaps it was I push I got! I try to be careful in training and I thank the coach for giving me the chance to play. He thought my team-mates were in better shape than me, but I've always respected his choices. I've given everything in training right since the start of the season, and now I'm starting to see that hard work pay off."
