D'AMBROSIO: "I'M VERY PROUD AND I BELIEVE IN INTER'S PROJECT"

"I'll do whatever Mazzarri wants, I'll play wherever I'm needed. I know what he can offer wide players like me. We'll bounce back through hard graft"

APPIANO GENTILE - "There were a number of clubs chasing me but I chose Inter," admitted Danilo D'Ambrosio as he was officially unveiled to the media earlier.

He wanted to emphasise how his decision to join the Nerazzurri was firm and unwavering and that he wouldn't have it any other way. He explained why: "Inter are a big club and I know what Walter Mazzarri can offer wide players. Juventus? It wasn't just Juve, the best teams in Serie A were after me, but I thought Inter's project the best and most suited to me. Now I'm ready to do whatever the coach asks, to play either on the left or right."

D'Ambrosio then spoke about the current situation at Inter, saying: "It's not a great period, we've had some bad luck, but the squad is united and we want to win, I can see and feel it. I'm proud to be here and I'm sure that our work on the training ground will eventually pay off."

Danilo has also met president Erick Thohir: "It was only a few minutes but he made a very good impression on me, his words are important for the team, they help us."

Finally, a word on fellow new January signing, Hernanes: "He's a humble guy who has a great work ethic, he'll be important for us."
