MILAN - Inter chief executive Marco Fassone stopped briefly to speak to journalists before tonight's dinner with sponsors.
He first commented on the significance of the event itself: "It's an important evening because our sponsors are very important to us. President Thohir has made no secret of the emphasis he places on marketing and foreign expansion.
"We're the team with the most 'ties' in Serie A? Yes, we joked about that play on words after our latest draw against Parma."
Fassone then looked ahead to the Nerazzurri's next fixture: "Now we head to Napoli, which is sure to be a tough match for us, but Mazzarri is preparing for it thoroughly."
He finished by answering a question about potential signings: "A target man or a second striker? The January transfer window sometimes offers you good opportunities, other times it doesn't. We'll see."
