ALVAREZ: "WORKING HARD ALL WEEK TO GET A RESULT ON SUNDAY"

Argentine midfielder confident going into the game against Napoli: "We need to start playing again like we did at the start of the season"

MILAN - Ricky Alvarez gave a few statements to reporters before the dinner organised by FC Internazionale this evening for the club's sponsors.

The midfielder began: "We know we haven't done well in our last few games. We need to start playing again like we did at the start of the season and get results. The Napoli match gives us an opportunity to move up a level again. We must work really hard this week to get a result on Sunday. All things considered, we've only lost one game so we're not doing that badly. What we have struggled to do is stay in control of games, because we've often taken the lead."

On where he prefers to play on the pitch: "I think it depends on the opposition because against smaller teams you find they sit back and defend so it's perhaps better to start from deeper, whereas when you play against big teams there's often more space so it's good to play closer to the goal. At the moment it's better to be playing teams like Napoli and Milan – we need matches like that."

Finally, on the team's fitness: "How are we doing physically? We're working all week to make sure we go into the game 100%."
