PRIMAVERA, INTER 6-0 VARESE

A Puscas hat-trick, two brilliant goals by Tassi and Bigotto and Bonazzoli's fourth in as many games see the U19s notch their fourth win on the bounce

MILAN – The Inter Primavera team crushed their Varese counterparts 6-0 this afternoon to move within a point of second-place Chievo in the U19 championship.

Salvatore Cerrone's side took the lead after just 10 minutes when skipper Lorenzo Tassi added another jewel to his growing collection, curling a free kick over the wall and in off the post for his sixth goal of the season.

Bonazzoli, having made his senior debut in midweek against Trapani, marked his return to the Primavera side by scoring for the fourth game running, steering home from close range after 27 minutes.

Inter were already in control of the match but Puscas put the result beyond doubt by grabbing himself a quickfire brace before half-time to make it 4-0.

The visitors, coached by former Nerazzurri striker Maurizio Ganz, made a meek attempt to get back into the game after the restart but Inter's superior quality showed through - at no time more so than when Bigotto added a fifth on the 70-minute mark, directing Longo's cross into the top corner with a beautifully executed overhead kick on.

A minute later Puscas earned the right to take home the matchball when he completed his hat-trick with a neat backheel.

The Primavera's next fixture is a midweek cup clash away to Chievo - a stern test indeed but one that Cerrone's lads will head into brimming with confidence after today's dominant display.
