A CLOSER LOOK AT INTER V LIVORNO

A selection of pre-match stats from Football Data ahead of tonight's Serie A clash at the Stadio Meazza (20:45)

MILAN - With the help of our friends at Football Data, we've put together a few facts and figures on Inter v Livorno, the 2013/14 Serie A Week 12 encounter being played at the Stadio Meazza at 20:45 tonight.

Inter have goals throughout the team and from the bench
Walter Mazzarri's side – along with Roma – have had more players on the score sheet than any other Serie A team this season. The 11 Nerazzurri to have found the target are Alvarez, Cambiasso, Guarin, Icardi, Jonathan, Milito, Nagatomo, Palacio, Ranocchia, Rolando and Taider. Inter are also tied with Roma as the team with the most goals from substitutes after 11 rounds of league fixtures: four goals have come from the Nerazzurri bench, with Icardi and Milito having plundered two apiece after coming on.

Palacio the man
Rodrigo Palacio is one of the two most decisive players in the 2013/14 Serie A, having earned Inter 10 points with his goals. He was decisive in the wins over Catania (3-0 away), Sassuolo (7-0 away) and Udinese (3-0 away), and the 3-3 draw at Torino.

Ranocchia in line for 100th appearance in black and blue
If he features against Livorno tonight, Andrea Ranocchia will make his 100th appearance in a competitive match for the Nerazzurri. Of his 99 games played so far, 72 have come in Serie A, 10 in the Coppa Italia, 16 in European competitions and one in the Italian Super Cup. Ranocchia made his Inter debut on 9 January 2011 in Catania 1-2 Inter (Serie A).

Inter unbeaten against Livorno in 66 years
Livorno haven't defeated Inter in a competitive match, home or away, since 17 November 1947, when they won 3-2 at home (on neutral turf in Florence) in Serie A. Tieghi was the matchwinner for the hosts that day with a hat-trick (3, 20, 25) while an own goal by Soldani (15) and a strike from Quaresima (76) got the Nerazzurri goals. In the 14 games played since then – in Milan and Livorno – there have been 12 Inter wins and two draws.

No goals conceded by Inter against Livorno in 388 minutes
Livorno have not hit the net against Inter, home or away, since 23 September 2007, when a 2-2 draw was played out at the Stadio Armando Picchi. Loviso converted from the spot in the 62nd minute for the Tuscan outfit's second goal that day. Since then, Livorno have been unable to breach the Nerazzurri defence in 388 minutes: the 28 remaining minutes of that 2-2 draw and the four following matches all won by Inter, 2-0 in Milan (Serie A 2007/08), 1-0 at the Meazza in the 2009/10 Coppa Italia, 2-0 away and 3-0 at home in the 2009/10 Serie A.

Siligardi close to 100
Should he feature this evening, Luca Siligardi will make his 100th competitive appearance as a professional. His 99 matches to date have come wearing the colours of Inter, Bari, Piacenza, Triestina, Bologna and Livorno: 19 in Serie A, 71 in Serie B, 7 in the Coppa Italia and two in other competitions.

First meeting between Mazzarri and Nicola
Today's game marks the first competitive match between Walter Mazzarri and Davide Nicola as coaches.

Mazzarri against ex-club
Walter Mazzarri has faced Livorno – the team he guided to promotion from Serie B in 2003/04 – on 10 occasions as a coach, with three wins for each side and four draws. Mazzarri's teams are unbeaten in the last four home encounters (two wins and two draws), scoring in all four (seven goals total).

Nicola's first time against Inter
Davide Nicola is set to test himself against Inter for the first time in his coaching career this evening.
