MILAN – To celebrate the 12th anniversary of the PUPI Foundation, Paula and Javier Zanetti have organised a special evening to retrace the Foundation's joys and achievements while setting out some of its future targets.
A Gala Dinner entitled "UN SORRISO PER PUPI - 12 ANNI INSIEME" (A Smile for PUPI – 12 Years Together) will take place tonight, Thursday 7 November 2013, at Mercedes-Benz Center in Milan. It's an opportunity to meet - besides the special guests in attendance - some of the people who have supported the Foundation's projects over the years.
One of the main themes of the evening will be Children's Rights. Cultural Association Art Kitchen (www.artkitchen.org) is to provide the artistic backdrop for the location using their creative touch and various forms of communication, with the emphasis placed on Children's Rights.
In the aperitif lounge, a Play Area will be set up where young and old alike can have fun with a race track or the eight-man table football table. For the whole evening there will also be a children's area available where parents can leave their kids.
Dinner will be interspersed with entertainment and improvisation provided on stage by illustrious guests and friends of the Foundation.
The evening will end with a charity auction during when those present will have the opportunity to acquire unique items kindly offered by sports personalities as well as a number of highly prestigious items.
Highlights of the evening will be shown on the PUPI Foundation's YouTube channel.
This evening's event on is an opportunity to raise funds and awareness and involve individuals or companies who wish to get to know a reality that provides concrete aid to people in need.
Twelve years ago, Paula and Javier Zanetti decided to set up the PUPI (Por Un Piberio Integrado) Foundation with the aim of involving all of society and providing support to an area of extreme poverty in the Argentine Republic. With the Foundation the Zanettis created a space where socially disadvantaged and differently abled children can receive, from early childhood, the care and education they need in every moment of their lives. It's based on a vision of a fair and supportive society in which everyone is given the same opportunities to grow up and where nobody is excluded or marginalised.
The main mission of the PUPI Foundation is to tackle the problem of poverty and marginalisation by stimulating the development of the most vulnerable sectors of society on a local level, based on criteria of integration and by providing quality services.
Many projects have been set up in Argentina including the integration projects "An alternative for life I and II" and "Mama Amor", the sports project "Sport makes everyone equal", the productive training project "Let's regain our dignity", the housing project "Let's build a house together" and many more. Over these 12 years of dedicated work, around 1,000 people – children, adolescents, young adults, mothers, fathers, relatives in general and communities - have benefited from these projects.
