UDINE - Esteban Cambiasso spoke to Sky Italia following his wonderful display this afternoon, with the studio pointing out that he's the most successful Argentine of all time: "It gives me great pride, but I know that this record will be overtaken by Messi. It will still be a proud moment to be overtaken by the best player of all time though.
"Coming back to us, I'm happy the team is playing like this and gives the impression of being in charge of the game because that's a must here at Inter. The team was angry after Bergamo and we wanted a reaction. Today we were able to express ourselves well.
"I'm happy about Zanetti's return, I would have preferred to have given him back the armband, for him to have not stopped wearing it at all in fact. I know how important he is for this team, you feel his presence even when he's not playing and I'm happy he was with us this afternoon.
"What has changed from last year? You can definitely see the coach's hand, Mazzarri's teams have always had an identity, something which has allowed him to achieve certain things. We're happy with the work we've done until now.
"Alvarez? I've always been convinced of his ability, had I gone public with that though, you'd have claimed it's because we're the Argentine mafia and he's only at Inter because he's from Argentina! His potential is very clear, what we were most disappointed about was not being able to give him the team's support before.
"Today's injuries don't seem serious, they should just be a bit of cramp. Injuries can happen, but if we go at 100 miles an hour, we accept them more calmly.
"We knew we had a strong team going forward. It was good to score early on and manage the contest. We did well to keep a clean sheet, otherwise the match could have been a different story. We also did well to start well and be watchful at the back."
Cambiasso had a final word on Inter's targets: "We're thinking about playing every game to the best of our ability, we know they're streaking ahead at the top but we need to wait till we play them to catch up."
