MILAN – The Nerazzurri Primavera resumed championship duties this afternoon after more than a month's break due to the Under-17 World Cup. Salvatore Cerrone's lads welcomed Padova to the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti for their sixth league match of the campaign. Inter went into the game unbeaten on 11 points (three wins and two draws) while Massimo Storgato's side had collected four points from their first five fixtures (a win, a draw and three defeats).
The Nerazzurri created the better chances in the first half but were let down by poor finishing. Padova went in at half time a goal to the good after Donkor was penalised for what was deemed to be a foul on Darmian, Voltan converting from the spot.
Inter were level within 20 seconds of the restart however, when Capello put in an excellent ball for Camara to finish. The hosts pushed forward trying to complete the turnaround and went close through Bonazzoli and Bigotto, with Capello often at the heart of things. The Italy U19 forward had the chance to win it in added time, first when he headed wide from a corner and then when he was brought down in the box by Padova keeper Murano. Capello shouldered the responsibility from 12 yards but was denied late glory by Murano. 1-1 the final score.
